Admission

 

To qualify for admission, and apart from the application documents, an applicant has to meet a number of individual, professional, and educational requirements. The major ones are: 

 

the strong will or intrinsic drive (calling) to evolve or grow into a major role in the field of leadership or leadership education, including organisational, community, societal, or corporate improvement or growth; 

 

  the demonstration of at least 10 years of relevant full-time professional experience, with a leadership component (i.e. experience in leading and/or education), preferably acquired after having obtained a masters degree (the average age of our postgraduate doctoral students is 43, the range is 37 to 50 years of age).  

 

  the master's degree, from a recognised university or institution of higher education. 

 

to be able to combine professional activity, and personal life, with study. Major parts of the programme require self-defined timing for learning, in the asynchronous mode. Successful completion of the PALS programme is of high value for the PhD stage in which intrinsic motivation of the candidate is very important.     

 

the willingness to participate in cross-cultural relationship-building. This aspect also relates to the summer residence programme module, an event during which there is extensive interaction with fellow participants from other nations, cultures, and professional environments.  

 

Places. With the aim of meeting the person-centredness and the quality-objectives of our programmes the total number of places in the PALS programme is limited to maximum sixteen participants

 

Programme start. In the asynchronous distance learning system the programme-starts are possible year-round (except December, June, and July), and contingent on place availability in the programme.

 

Organisation, and course delivery. INSIL is the official organiser of the programme registered with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research in France. Under the association framework between institutions, the actual course delivery and tuition is undertaken by the conjoint faculty of The Thierry Graduate School of Leadership and our institute.
